Beautiful Smiles Project
Oral Health Outreach
The Kiwanis Club of Spanish Town assisted in the provision of transportation of two Dental Assistants, dental chairs and other equipment to the targeted school in Portmore. The Kiwanis Club of Spanish Town and the St. Catherine Heath Department were at the school to provide comprehensive, diagnostic oral health services for Port Henderson Primary on April 19 and April 20.
The Kiwanis club of Spanish Town partnered with the St Catherine Dental Health Department to facilitate Dental Outreach for Children. We directly support in providing the transportation of the dental team as part of our beautiful smiled initiate partnership with the department.
Ebony Vale Basic School Project
Members of the Kiwanis Club of Spanish Town recently embarked on restoration work at the Ebony Vale Basic School.​At the Ebony Vale Basic School, the project involved the repairing of recreational facilities for children. The club also assisted in providing disinfectant to assist in maintaining the sanitation in the facility.
Beautiful Smiles Project
As part of our Beautiful Smiles Project, the Kiwanis Club of Spanish Town partnered with the St Catherine Health Department, Dental Division and did dental outreach at Friendship Primary School and at Praise Kindergarten.
Students were orally assessed, some were given recommendation for follow-up assessment while others were treated. Students were also given toothpaste and toothbrushes.
Over 300 students were served by a team of 48 dental practitioners.
